The GasAlertMicro 5 Series is the most customizable gas monitoring series on the market. With an extensive selection of models, user options, and instrument settings, this multi-gas detector series is an industry leader. BW Technologies by Honeywell recognizes that not all worksites can operate with a one size fits all model of gas detection devices. With the introduction of the GasAlertMicro 5 Series multi-gas detectors, worksites, managers, and users can utilize the customizable features to ensure that the instrument meets their specific worksite needs.
GasAlertMicro 5 Series models
This multi-gas monitor series is available in several models: the standard toxic gas model, a PID model for detection of VOCs, or an IR model for CO2 detection. The unit accurately and reliably identifies up to five atmospheric hazards simultaneously and can rapidly switch from diffusion mode to the optional integrated pump.
Each model of GasAlertMicro 5 Series has several distinct features. With the GasAlertMicro 5 Series, the standard toxic gas model, users can monitor several standard gases with a plug in electrochemical cell sensor and catalytic cell sensor and a typical battery life of 20 hours (AA Alkaline rechargeable). The GasAlertMicro 5 PID is standard with several gas detections, a plug in electrochemical cell sensor and photoionization detector, and a battery life of approximately 15 hours (AA Alkaline rechargeable). Finally, the GasAlertMicro 5 IR features specific gas detection ranges, a plug in electrochemical cell sensor, a catalytic cell sensor, and an infrared sensor for carbon dioxide monitoring. Exclusive features
Each GasAlertMicro 5 Series device features several exclusive features including a triple alarm system, raised glove-friendly buttons, a large easy to read display, stainless steel alligator clip, visual filter inspection, and automatic activation tests. When the unit is activated, the gas detector will automatically test for sensor integrity, circuitry, and battery. This continuous and reliable testing process ensures that the integrity and dependability of the device is never a concern.
BW Technologies by Honeywell also recognizes the unique needs of the various industries with environmental hazards. With each industry anticipating a separate set of possible dangers, the ability to customize safety devices is critical.
Users and worksite managers will be comforted to know their GasAlertMicro 5 series model is fully customizable. Customizable features include STEL intervals, TWA methods, sensor activation, alarms, display settings, record keeping, pumps, combustible gas measurements, start up calibration, backlights, activation modes, calibration levels, daily bump tests, and languages. To protect the integrity of the user settings and the safety of the gas monitoring device, the GasAlertMicro 5 device features a passcode function to prevent unauthorized manipulation of settings.
Accessories
The GasAlertMicro 5 Series is also compatible with BW's MicroDock II automatic test and calibration system. Users may purchase additional accessories to help fully tailor the gas detection unit to their needs. Accessories include an integral pump and battery charger, a confined space kit, a belt holster, and a collapsible sampling probe.
